Dr. Katherine Klos

Katherine Klos, MD is certified by the American Board of Urology and by the American Board of Medical Examiners. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and her medical degree from the University of Alabama. She completed her general surgery internship and urology residency locally at George Washington University.

After completing residency, Dr. Klos has been able to develop a general urologic practice treating conditions like kidney stones, prostatic enlargement, voiding dysfunction (including urinary frequency and urgency), prostate cancer and erectile dysfunction. Through her experience she has also been able to help patients with difficult conditions like pelvic pain, testosterone deficiency, recurrent UTI’s and chronic prostatitis. Dr. Klos values interdisciplinary care in her approach to patients, integrating traditional and nontraditional therapies.

In effort to best meet her patient’s needs, Dr. Klos provides a variety of office procedures including cystoscopy, posterior tibial nerve stimulation, Botox, treatment of genital warts and vasectomies. In addition, she has admitting privileges at George Washington University and Sibley Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Klos has resided in Washington, DC for over ten years. Outside the office, she serves on the advisory board for the Promaxo Corporation (an innovative medical device company). When no involved in medicine, Dr. Klos enjoys spending time with her husband and three small children. In the early morning, you can also find her at a spin class or on a run.
